Tilda Plays Tennis!!

Hi! For my sports card I chose Tennis Tilda and colored her with prismacolor pencils. I used walnut Distress ink and added some stickles. I used the Spellbinders Labels 18 and a KC pearl for the tab. I used a Martha Stewart punch for the trim and my cricut for the hearts. I added some stamped embellishments from my stash and a bit of stitching to finish it off. Cowboy Tilda

It is my time to post for the Sports Challenge on MSL. I have made a card with Cowboy Tilda! I love rodeos and just had to use this Maggie stamp on a card!

I used Cosmo Cricket Wanted cardstock for my papers and Core'dinations Gemstones cardstock for the base of the card. I used gemstones, ribbon from my stash and clay beads on the card. I had a lot of fun making this card. I hope this inspires you to be creative and make a sports card for the challenge!

Valentine Tree

It is my day to post a project for the MSL Kraft Paper Challenge. I have used a kraft paper lunch bag in my project. I made this for my husband for Valentine's Day. He does not look at this post, so he will not see this! I made the paper bag into a "tree". I put some candies inside the paper bag for him and hung a gift card for a night out to dinner and a movie in the envelope I hung on the tree. Here is the envelope:

This sentiment is part of the new Magnolia Collection Sweet Crazy Love. I also used Tilda with Cozy Heart and Edwin with Heart on this project. Here they are below:

I also used the Be Mine heart image from the same collection. I cut out hearts and either stamped them or layered them before I hung them from the branches of the tree. I hope you like my project. Accessory Challenge at Magnolia Stamp Lovers

Hello Friends,

It is my turn, Vivi to bring a card for the accessory challenge over at Magnolia Stamp Lovers Challenge Blog.

Remember, your card must have ONLY an accessory, no Tilda or Edwin this time, ok?!

Gosh, there are so many beautiful accessory stamps and almost never I used only them on a card!

So I love the idea for a challenge.. now, it was so hard to pick one but, in the end, I chose Tulip Wheelbarrow, take a look, I’m really pleased with the result:

Not sure if everyone knows but tulips are my fave colors, I alsmot colored them in purple color but then chanced my mind and I thought you would like to see others colors on my card then purple, right?!?! lol lol

I sewed around the background paper which is easier to see in the second picture and I sewed around the spellbinder rectangle. The Christmas tree I made was from a tutorial. Xmas at Magnolia Stamp Lovers

Hello Maggie Lovers,

I have a card for the Xmas Challenge over here at Magnolia Stamp Lovers.

I found this image of cute Lightning Edwin with my other images and I just could not resist in coloring him with my copic markers.
Background papers are from Basic Grey – Jovial Paper Pack.

I distress the paper that is on the center and add stickles all around the rectangule where Edwin is placed. In each corner of the card I adde red glitter dots. Ribbon withs Noel written on it is from my stash.
As it is a masculine card, I left if as clean of embellies itens as possible.

Hello Friends,

Today is my turn, Vivi, to show you a card for the Black Challenge over here at Magnolia Stamp Lovers Challenge Blog.

I must say I was intrigue about how I was going to make a card for this challenge, but then I thought it could be fun coz I had never play with the color before like I did now!!! and that would challenge myself.

So I looked for an image that I could color in black and it would look good like a black dress lol…

so I picked Tilda on the Loose from Magnolia Stamps, take a look:

Oh, isnt this cute??? I love how she looks like!!!

I colored the image using copic markers C9, C7, C3, E35, E33, E53, E11, E00,R20, RV02, RV00. I added black & white flowers Stamping Scrapping Flowers Jar.

For the oval where my Tilda is placed I cut with classic oval nestie and beaded oval nestie.

On the top let corner I added a piece of black cardstock and cut the border with Martha Stewart punch!

Buttons are from Galore.

Nothing says fall like a pumpkin...

I love this Basic Grey paper, the colors are awesome and feel very much like fall. Scarecrow Tilda is guarding the pumpkins to make sure no one steals them before Halloween. I've added some Crystal Stickles to the top because frost on the pumpkin also says autumn. Now if I could just incorporate the smell of fall, the crisp morning air, burning leaves and ripe apples. I've added a shadow around her with Copics; it's something that I usually don't do because I'm not very good at it, but I think this turned out well. What do you think? Today is my day to post a MSL Fall card! There is nothing more like Fall than the beautiful leaves that we see on the trees, falling on the ground, and in raked up piles in our neighbor's yards! This made me think of Tilda in the Leaves. I just love this stamp and had fun making this card. I embossed a metal sheet to use as the background. I purchased this metal while I was at the Stamping Scrapping Retreat in Michigan.

Hello Friends,

It is time for me to show you a card for the fall challenge over here Magnolia Stamp Lovers.

I decided to use the fall colors on a Halloween card… I want to make one so that was a great excuse!! Lol

Ok, so here goes my card:

This time I picked Tilda with Pumpkins and spooky fence from So spooky collection of Magnolia Stamps.

I colored my image using copics markers and for the grass I used flower soft, I used regular and ultra fine ones!! I hadn’t use flower soft for a while and I had forgotten how pretty it is…

I used Martha Stewart spider web punch, half adhesivepearls are from KC and all the glitter on the flowers are Tim Holtz stickles – diamond.

All the others materiais used on my card are from my stash

Hi! When I think of fall, I think of Halloween so I used Honey Tilda for my Halloween card today. I colored her with prismacolor pencils and cut her out using my Grand Calibur and Spellbinders dies. I used a Martha Stewart border punch and a variety of stamps( including the Spellbinders mini stamps) to keep with the theme. I added some stitching, a bow, and a tiny button to finish it off. Today is my day to post a card for the MSL Distress Challenge! Well, it is Fall! The weather is getting cooler and football games are every weekend. My husband and I went to East Carolina University, which are know as the ECU Pirates. Now you are probably figuring out why I did a card on Pirates! I just love the Magnolia Pirate stamps and this was the perfect opportunity to use a couple of them. Here is the card I came up with!

I decided to color my images in Sepia tones. I had never tried this but have always thought it was great looking.

There are lots of ways to distress a card. I've just used one. I used my Zutter to distress the edges of my design paper. It's about the only distressing I ever do on a card and the Zutter makes it really easy. For those of you that like distressing, this is the challenge for you.

Hi! For my card today I used Tilda with Heart and colored her with Prismacolor pencils. I used the Stamping Scrapping Designs Anglaise Lace Circles die, Spellbinders circle die, and Magnolia Doohickey die that I cut with my Grand Calibur. I distressed this with my Tim Holtz paper distresser and also his vintage photo Distress ink. The Fall Colors Challenge is Up Next....

We're starting a brand new challenge today and I'm proud to show you my card. I used a design paper with leaves as the base for my card and layered it with red card stock stamped with a Magnolia brick wall stamp. The die cut at the left has been embossed with the Tim Holtz 'bricked' embossing folder. The leaf has been cut with a die from Cuttlebug in copper foil and embossed with the corresponding embossing folder. If I had the opportunity to do this card again, I would distress the edges with white ink. Don't you think it's about time Tim Holtz came out with white distressing ink? Crochet in Primary Colors....

I haven't used two colors of crochet thread to create a card before, but I have to admit, it looks great, especially in these colors. Once again I've used the Eyelet Circle die for the base, covered with a standard large circle which has been embossed with a Fiskars Embossing plate and airbushed with B16 using my Copic airbrush sytem. I've touched up with some stickles on the roses, the leaves and the heart on Tilda's pants. The white accents are from a Sharpie UltraFine Paint Pen in white. When it's hottest in Central Illinois, that's when some of our prettiest flowers bloom. One of my all time favorites for beauty and longevity is the zinnia. During the winter I scan all the seed catalogs for every new zinnia seed that's introduced. I usually plant twenty or more packages of zinnia seeds in my greenhouse every April. Zinnias are butterfly magnets so we always have a ton of them around. Tilda is where I like to be, surrounded by zinnias. I had a lot of fun with the crochet around the eyelet die. Easy to do and snazzy to look at.

Thank Everyone that join our sketch challenge with so beautiful creations but today it time for a new challenge and I, Vivi, am the host of this one.. I hope you all like and come one over to join!! The theme I picked is FLOWER as I love it and can`t make a card without it!!

Ok, here is my card:

I picked Travelling Tilda from Magnolia Stamps.

I colored my girl with copic markers: V17, V15, V12, V00, V01, V000, V0000, E11, E00, R20, E37, E35, 33, E53,

On hat I added a little bit of purple stickles and on her shoes I added 3D crystal lacquer.. I really love the effect of this!! and I have all colors!! lol lol

My image is place on the center of white paper cut with classic circle nestie and and Stamping Scrapping custom die called Anglaise lace cirle. I cut both dies using my Grand Calibur. On the top of the white circle I stamp little flowers.. they are from Stamping Scrapping Designs Stamps and it is from Beaded Circles. Sentiment is also from the same set of stamps!

I decided to use only one flower this time...I love this polka dot flower..it is from Stamping Scrapping Flower Jar. I use rhinestones too and they are from kaisercraft!

Cindy's first sketch.....

Although this is just my first sketch, I think I like doing them. Half of the thinking has been done for you. You don't have to lay down the paper this way and that way. Try this die and that die. Before you know it, your work space is covered with things that you didn't use that you now have to put away. The two toned border was new for me. I cut two of the borders using the two papers in the background, measured, cut, reattached and created one border with two papers. Just make sure you have a left and right or you could waste some paper.

It is time for me, Vivi, to show you a card I made for the sketch challenge:

Oh, I just love making cards based in a sketch.. it is so much fun!!! So here is the card I made:

Oh when I was looking for the images I was gonna use on this card, I saw the Singing Tilda and I could not resisit. I don't play witth this one very often, so that was a great excuse!! lol.. yeah, right... I needed one.. lol lol

Here is what I used to make my card:

Singing Tilda is from Magnolia Stamps and I colored the image with copic markers Y18, Y13, Y02, E37, E33, E51, E11, E00, R20, C2.

For the oval I used beaded ovals and classic oval nesties cutting them on my Grand Calibur .

Background papers & ribbon are from my stash. For the embellishments I used a beautiful Gardenia flower from Stamping Scrapping and roses from my stash.

I added pink crystal brads in the center square and in each corner of my card I added hot pink rhinestones.

One thing I cannot live without anymore is stickles... so i added stardust stickles on the flower and microphone and a little bit of gold stickles on ther neckalace and earings!

Good morning! I hope everyone is having an amazing Saturday! Today is my day to post a card for the MSL Sketch Challenge. I guess I have been thinking about love and hearts because today my sketch is Tilda w/heart lace.

I used the Grand Caliber and the Spellbinders Nestability Die to cut out Tilda and the paper behind her. Of course I used the bow easy to tie the bow. If you have not gotten one of those, you are really missing out on an awesome tool!

Cherry Tilda

Hello Maggie Lovers,

It is time for me to show you my card for the summer colors... I thought pink would go for summer colors..

So here is my card:

This time I picked Cherry Tilda from Magnolia Stamps. I colored my image using copic markers.

I cut plain pink cardstock with oval beaded nestie and the white one with classic oval nestie.

and I used my Martha Stewart punch on the white rectangule.

Summer Colors!!!

I also used Tilda with Ice cream cone for my card, just like Meg did! lol I started my base with the Scor-Pal and used my Grand Calibur to cut out the Spellbinders dies. I then used my cricut for the tree and the tag. I colored my image with prismacolor pencils and finished it all off with some stitching. I hope you all join in and link up your summer color card too! Rocking Tilda's the World

I tried my hand at a new design for me - a center step card. I hate tricky cuts, I don't do math, they never fold right, whine, whine, whine. You are going to find this really funny, but I just discovered my Fiskars cutter works for these kinds of cards. Did ya'll know there is a ruler on the cutter slide, too? You can position your paper, drop your blade at the right number, slide to the next right number and you're all done. All you need is a little focus. So, here is my very first center step card. And, if you are my age, the hula hoop is an iconic summer toy. In my prime, I could hula hoop with the very best of them - jump rope, too - even double dutch. Those days are long gone but I'm so pleased to see the hula hoop make a come back.

For my card today, I combined Tilda and with Rufus along wtih red and lighter blue cardstock. Something about these colors together makes me think of happy summer picnics at the park.

What are Summer Flowers?

I think any flower is a summer flower, don’t you? Well, to be true to the challenge I chose a rose.

In an attempt to get a little ahead I made this card a couple of weeks ago. Not good because I didn’t write things down, if I did I can’t find them so let’s see how good I can do by using my pics to list all of the ingredients:

Summer Flowers......Gift Bag

Today is my day, Meg, to post for the Summer Flower Challenge! I have decided to make a gift bag with flowers! I have decided to go through my supplies and start using up some of the things that I have and create new and different things. I came across a sheet of vellum and decided to make it into a gift bag. I cut the piece out and then embellished it with rub ons, making them stand out by using a stylus from the McGill Tool Kit and the McGill Molding Mat. I used a flower to top it off!

One of my favorite images is Tilda with Hawaiian Flower from the Butterfly Dreams Collection. I colored her with copic makers and used some stickles to add some bling. The butterfly I used on the tag (a Doohickey Cutting Die) was from a previous collection from Magnolia.

I decorated the back of the bag as well. So all that is left to do is tuck a little gift inside and some tissue paper. So, what would you place inside this gift bag?

Summer Flowers and my Cricut

I have a Cricut Expression that I don't use nearly enough. I guess I'm a stamper at heart although I do dabble in other crafts. I recently pulled out a couple of cartridges to see if I could combine them with my stamping. This Damask Decor cartridge makes some pretty nice backgrounds. I cut a 5.5" x 5.5" card and then cut this particular background at 5" x 5". I have lots of 12" x 12" paper pads with patterns too big to use on cards. I find they do work well this way. I actually pulled out my Copic color wheel to find a color that worked well with this particular shade of green. All in all, I'm pleased with it, I plan to use this cartridge for more cards in the future and I realize that tulips are not technically a 'summer flower' but when you bury them as deep as I did, they have a tendency to bloom late. Plus the paper has some pretty nice flowers on it.
