Cindy does distressed....

There are lots of ways to distress a card.  I've just used one.  I used my Zutter to distress the edges of my design paper.  It's about the only distressing I ever do on a card and the Zutter makes it really easy.  For those of you that like distressing, this is the challenge for you.

Paper: Debbie Mumm, Bazzill; Stamps: Magnolia Tilda with Bunny, Studio G Alphabet; Spellbinder Labels Small; Cricut Flower Shoppe; Bow Easy; Martha Stewart Leaf Punch; Distress Stickles Forest Moss; Marianne Swirl Die; Ribbon: Stash; Copics:[Skin E000, E02, R20][Hat/Shirt B93, B97, B95][Pants G94, YG63, YG61][Shoes E34, E35][Hair Y19, Y11][Rabbit C0, C00, C1].  For more information, please see my blog: bluebirdflats.blogspot.com

My Magnolia Friends

Today is my turn, Stephanie,  to show you my creation for the fall colors challenge.

I made this card for a co-worker whose mom is turning 80.

Now, the inside. I used several images to depict the grandchildren.

007 copy (Small)

Since I filled the inside of the card with Maggies I had to create something to write on so I made a slide out journal.

010 copy (Small)

OK, so now that you have seen all of these pictures it is time for a list of materials:

Phew! That sure is a lot huh? It’s awesome that you can purchase all of those items, and more, at Stamping Scrapping.

The Fall Colors Challenge is Up Next....

We're starting a brand new challenge today and I'm proud to show you my card.  I used a design paper with leaves as the base for my card and layered it with red card stock stamped with a Magnolia brick wall stamp.  The die cut at the left has been embossed with the Tim Holtz 'bricked' embossing folder.  The leaf has been cut with a die from Cuttlebug in copper foil and embossed with the corresponding embossing folder.  If I had the opportunity to do this card again, I would distress the edges with white ink.  Don't you think it's about time Tim Holtz came out with white distressing ink?  Hopefully, I've covered the 'fall colors' theme and invite you to join us.  Just use an item that Cindy sells at StampingScrapping.com on your card and mention it.  Use the link at the top of the post to enter.

Paper: DCWV The Four Season's Stack, Basis Red; Stamps: Magnolia Baseball Cap Edwin, PaperTrey Half and Half; Die: Cuttlebug Leaf Die and Embossing Folder, PaperTrey Half and Half Die; Tim Holtz Bricked Embossing Folder; Coats and Clark Metallic Thread; Button: Stash; Silver Stickles; Copics: [Skin E00, E11, R20][Shirt YR18, YR16, YR12, YR00][Pants YG97, YG95, YG93][Belt E29][Hair Y11, Y13][Shoes C1, C3, C5, C7].  For more information, please see my blog: bluebirdflats.blogspot.com.
